What Direction In Life Should You Take?
It’s a new month, yay! Happy new month dear family. May all your dreams come true this new month and may all your endeavours end in success. My prayer for you is to have cause to smile everyday of this new month.
We have four months until the year 2017 ends, and some of you may still be wondering: ‘What direction in life do I take?’
I got a few tips from nuggets I read. It made a lot of sense and so I thought to share.
Here’s what to do if you need to find the right direction in life…
1. Stop over thinking.
So much of our stress and anxiety about the future stems from all the analysis and thinking we do as adults. We ask ourselves all sorts of questions. We spend countless nights lying awake, entertaining ideas, and wrestling with our souls. I tried so hard to figure out where I would end up that I often felt defeated before I even began. The over analysis gets you nowhere; it just burns more time. The reality is that no matter how smart we may be, we cannot predict the future. Things are moving so fast and we’re so interconnected that it is impossible to predict where you’ll end up five years from now.
So make your choice on what’s really important to you, right here and right now, not tomorrow.
2. Try anything. Do something.
When you take action and start doing things, you begin to feel better almost immediately. So many times, we get caught up in the chaos of life and consumed by it, until we realize that we cannot control what will happen tomorrow, but we can control the actions we take every single day. You just never know where that one step will lead you.
3. Follow your inner voice.
Don’t you sometimes feel that if only you knew more, you’d be able to make a better decision about the direction you wanted to take in life? Confused and overwhelmed by so much information, some of it can be conflicting So just let go. Let go of all evidence and start following your gut. Yes, you may stumble, fall, but but it'll eventually get better when you get back up and go in a different direction, because you’re out there doing and learning—not
sitting and waiting.
4. Believe in yourself.
When you first start exploring new opportunities to find the right direction in your life, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the competition. Of course, there are so many others just like you trying to do what you’re doing. Turning to my friends may not offer any respite, because, instead of encouraging you to try new avenues, some of them could bring you back to where you began. Such seeds of self-doubt sown within you could take you some time to recover your momentum. By taking small steps each and every day, putting aside over thinking, and realizing that you have everything you need deep within, you can find the right direction in your life. And while it may not be the direction you expected, it will work out just fine.
Touch lives with this by sharing with friends!
