Everytime you upgrade your whatsapp, there's always that seemingly feature(s) that always comes with the new one no matter how insignificant it might be. These are just to mention but a few.
So how do I update my Whatsapp status, comment on status and refer to messages?
Good...
To update status - Just click on the status tab, after which you'll find an image like a broken circle with a plus ➕ sign. This is located at the top of the screen beside the  tool. Click on it and select what you want to update.
To comment on people's status - View their status, swipe upward, comment and send.
To refer to someone's previous message - Locate the message, long click on it to mark it. Then, click on the arrow at the top left side of the screen beside a star. Type your message in response to the person's message and send. It's done!

INEC begins nationwide voter registration April 27

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it will commence a nationwide continuous voter registration on April 27 across the 774 local government areas of the federation.
The commission disclosed this in a statement signed by the INEC National Commissioner, Mrs Amina Zakari, after a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners and Administrative Secretaries from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It stated that the exercise would take place from 9 a.m to 3 p.m on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays), excluding public holidays.
The registration centres, according to the statement, shall be the local government offices of the commission or such other suitable locations as would be made public by the State Offices of lNEC. It stated that the decision was taken at the
meeting following INEC consultations with stakeholders including political parties, civil society organisations and the media. She said, “The exercise is intended to enable citizens who have turned 18 years of age since the last registration as well as those who did not register during the last exercise to register as voters. “It will allow those seeking transfer of their registration from one State to another or within a
State from polling unit to another to do so. “The exercise also intends to enable the distribution of uncollected Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to those who could not collect them before or since the last general elections. “It will also enable citizens who have the
Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs) but whose names are on the register to collect their PVCs,’’ it said.
However, the commission advised those who were already registered not to do so again as it is an offence to register more than once. “The commission wishes to reiterate its commitment to consolidating our democracy. `This we are going to do by ensuring that citizens are given the opportunity to register as voters on a continuous basis as enshrined in the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) well before elections.’’ It, therefore, appealed to all citizens to cooperate with the commission to ensure the success of the exercise.
The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had earlier said the registration exercise would continue to be a routine exercise once it commenced.

Accepting the Reality of Life

Many have been asking questions about the realities of life and how certain situations have continued to be a mystery that cannot be explained. Sometimes it is quite difficult to understand why certain events are happening which cannot be comprehended. For instance, no one can tell whom he/she will eventually get married to. Another disturbing issue that has continued to generate worry, is how the future would treat us in relation to our aspirational goal in life.
Ironically, many people have concluded that life is a game of luck which only shine on those who are destined for greatness. For these obvious reasons, a cross section of the society believe that no matter what happens to them, they must either by "hook or by crook" make it in life. These kinds of people are not interested in the exercising patient to receive the blessings of God at the appointed time. If we have to be honest with ourselves today, how many persons can beat their chest and thank God for where he has position them? Obviously,
very few can afford can do that nowadays.
Sincerely, no matter our passion to accomplish great results, our dreams would only come true at the divine appointed time. For the fact that you have been working and struggling so hard to make it in life for a long time and your situation has not changed for good, does not mean that your condition will remain that way. As long as you keep battling for the best, just know that your time to make remarkable progress would soon come to pass. If you accept the cold fact of reality that "every thing has it own time" Then nothing will shake you, even when others laughing or mocking at your present situation.
What so ever situation you find yourself toady, always learn to appreciate where God has placed you, of course things may not be well with you but never give up doing the right thing. Due to lack of patience, so many people have ended up their lives in mystery while others have terminated their lives as a result of "get rich syndrome".
Remember that if your condition is terrible today, it will suddenly get better tomorrow. Never give up, but learn to accept the inevitable concept of life as doing otherwise is a gateway to perpetual sufferings and failure.

School girl vs Father

A young lady got the disappointment of her life after she tried to scam her 'sharp' father.
I came across a Whatsapp conversation between a Nigerian girl and her father, where the young lady tried to swindle her father.
From their conversation, the young lady had asked her father for N30,000 which she claimed was needed for a school excursion to Obudu cattle ranch in Calabar, Cross River state. The sharp father saw through her 'lie'
and insisted that she must carry over the course as she said she was likely to do should she fail. The man was not moved by her reasons for wanting the money, instead he promised her that he'd pay the money 'next year' after she must have carried the course over.
See their conversation below:

10 Questions by Gov. Ayo Fayose

According to the governor, some of the questions currently begging for answer on the recovered monies at Ikoyi are:
1. Who is the owner of the apartment in which the money was found?
2. Does the apartment also belong to the NIA?
3. If the apartment belong to the NIA, when was it bought and from whom?
4. If the apartment does not belong to the NIA, from whom and when was it rented?
5. How could a whistle-blower be aware of movement of money into one out of many apartments in a building without knowing the owner of the apartment?
6. If truly the NIA was carrying out a ‘covert operation’ as claimed, was President Muhammadu Buhari not briefed of the so-called ‘covert operation’ when he took over power?
7. Was the National Security Adviser (NSA), whose office controls all intelligence agencies, including the EFCC and DSS not aware of the ‘covert operation’?
8. Was there any security presence at the vicinity of the apartment to suggest that it was being used as warehouse for over N13 billion cash belonging to the NIA?
9. Does NIA need an unprotected
apartment to keep such huge sum of money purportedly meant for ‘covert operation’?
10. How much was released for the so-called ‘covert operation’, how much has been spent and to who was account rendered up to date?

The trio: Their, There & They're

The trio of their, there , and they’re can confuse writers at all levels. The confusion stemming from these words is that they are homophones, meaning they have the same pronunciation but differ in meaning and derivation. Even though they sound the same, writing them down correctly is a different story! If you find yourself coming up blank when trying to determine which one to use, take a hint from the spelling of each:

Their has the word heir in it, which can remind you that the term indicates possession.

There has the word here in it. There is your choice for talking about places, whether figurative or literal.

They’re has an apostrophe, which tells you that it’s the product of two words: they & are . If you can substitute they are into your sentence and retain the meaning, then they’re is the correct homophone to use!

Tithe payment of N42m sparks controversy

A man whose identity has been shielded by a local church in Makurdi, Benue State has shocked church members with a tithe offering of N42 million.
This single donation in a month has caused anger in the state where workers are being owed salaries and the government struggling to pay salaries, NAN reports.
Investigations by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Makurdi revealed that the money was paid into the UBA account of the NKST Church High level Makurdi.
Although the resident pastor of the church, Dr. Frederick Ikyaan, initially denied knowledge of such offering, a copy of the church’s quarterly financial report, covering the months of January– March, confirmed the payment of N42 million tithe to the church.
The report showed that the lodgment is the highest single offering from an individual for the quarter. The money was paid into the church’s account in January. The breakdown of the church’s financial report showed an income of N56.2 million and an expenditure of N33.7 million within the same period..
The church’s records also showed that out of the income, N44.6 million was generated from tithe, while a single person accounted for N42 million.
Reacting to the financial report, the pastor said his initial denial was based on the allegations that the donor was an appointee of the Benue State Government. ”I still stand by my words that the person that gave us that money is not an appointee of the state government. In fact, he does not even stay in Benue but is an indigene of the state.”
He said there was nothing wrong with the offering and insisted that the church has nothing to hide.
Meanwhile, the tithe offering has stirred controversy in a state struggling to pay the salaries of workers. Public discussion centred on the legitimacy of the donors income, as a man who pays N42m to a church as tithe must have made an income of N420 million in the month that he paid. The amount donated is 10% of N420m which the Bible recommended as the amount of tithe for a Christian to pay from his income.
The NKST Church is an abbreviation for ‘Non go Kristu U Sudan hen Tiv’, meaning the Church of Christ Amongst the Tiv.

Could this be you?

You got angry in church and stopped the choir membership, left ushering, stopped sanctuary cleaning and every other work you were doing in church. Eventually you've stopped the church because someone spoke to you in a way you didn't like... Most of the messages from the pulpit was against you from your opinion...
Nobody called you when you were sick because according to you they did not love or care in the church...
But pls excuse me...
You've not stopped working for the boss who insults you most of the time, neither have you stopped work because your colleagues spoke ill of you...(Money was the reason)
When you were sick, you didn't wait for your boss to call you or look for you at work. Rather, you called and told him about your present condition. No complaint about him not visiting you (Fear of query or loss of the job)
Do you remember that at school, your teachers, your schoolmates and or even your best friends offended you, yet you didn't stop schooling.. You can easily miss Church but not lectures because the lecturer will take attendance which counts in assessment.
You can be late with your appointment with God at Church but you will be extra early for your visa interview at the embassy...
Who are you deceiving?
I don't blame you too much. Maybe you don't know or you don't have adequate revelation about Church...
Please, Hear Me! Church is not an "Offense Club" where all things must done to please you and you alone. According to Scripture, the first knowledge everybody must have about Church is that... It's
*The House Of God* and *The Gate of Heaven*... Genesis 28:17...
Your charisma may take you there but your salvation and spirit-led life will decide whether you will enter heaven or not. Your service to God must be with reverential fear, honor and respect. God is watching... _
